Is your organisation facing a challenge that you would like to share with students? Are you looking for fresh insights from smart students? On the Roeterseilandcampus, students and teachers are always looking for partners and interesting challenges to solve.

Let students come up with solutions for your organisation's challenges! We welcome cooperation with all types of organisations: startups, SMEs, multinationals, public institutions, government agencies, NGOs and cultural institutions.

Summer Sustainability Challenge Use Case

How does it work?

There are various ways to link the challenges of your organisation to students on our campus.

  • The Amsterdam Living Case Lab (ALCL) is an initiative of the Faculty of Economics and Business. The Lab brings real-life business challenges, 'living cases', to the classrooms.
  • The Master Challenge platform allows you to submit short-term and real-life challenges. During a challenge, a team of students will solve your real-life challenges.
  • Computational Social Sciences is a bachelor program that requires students to continuously solve real-world challenges. Students get to work with authentic scenarios from your organization.
  • Change Making. During this course, students and professionals work intensively together on a social problem where change is necessary, such as climate change and inequality of opportunity.
  • The UvA impact Challenge provides a platform for students to showcase and develop their innovative ideas related to societal and entrepreneurial issues. It is a joint initiative by the Faculty of Economics and Business, REC Impact and Soapbox. If your organisation wants to become a partner in this challenge, reach out to us.

Customization?

We can organise a 'tailor-made' challenge through the REC Impact partner programme. Students then work intensively in teams of 4-5, from multiple disciplines, for a short period on complex issues from your organisation. We recruit the students and together we match the students to your challenges.
