Due to the ever-changing world of GenAI, collaboration with others is crucial. This requires a diverse group of supporters and diverse knowledge. Being open to new perspectives and actively seeking external insights is important.
After taking the AI for Executives course at Amsterdam Business School, I met Mark Siebert from UvA at a conference. We stayed in touch and developed an idea in which I share ABN AMRO's practical challenges and possible solutions with UvA and bring scientific insights back to ABN AMRO. In this way, I combine practical experience with scientific knowledge.
In addition to AI for Executives, I had inspiring conversations with machine learning experts and UvA colleagues who work on GenAI projects. Before my first day as a Fellow, I gave a guest lecture for AI & Analytics students. This was a mix of theory and practice and led to good contacts with students.
Since the first week, I have also had warm contact with the students of AISO, with whom I will collaborate to shape knowledge exchange between industry and students, especially in the field of the Mindset for the Age of AI.
Ideally, a place will be created where science, industry, students, teachers and practitioners can come together to share knowledge and experiences or ask for help. The American philosopher Richard Rorty speaks of a 'conversation of mankind'. With this Fellowship, I want to contribute to a meaningful conversation about GenAI.
